Basic house rules
- Pit speed is 5 mph.
- Absolutely no burnouts, donuts or dangerous driving in the pits. This will be grounds for immediate removal from the event and potential loss of Membership.
- Pit areas must be kept clean. There are trash cans available in the pit area.
- All used tires must be taken with you.
- Drivers meetings are MANDATORY!
- Pay attention to and respect the track officials of Lead Foot City. If you have an issue, or see something unsafe or dangerous, please bring it to the attention of any track official immediately.
- All racers must abide by Lead Foot City safety rules.
tech inspection
Your vehicle is required to come to tech and pass tech inspection before entering the racing surface. Come early to get through tech quickly and onto the track. As a Member of the Lead Foot City Club, you will not need to sign any waivers, simply display your digital membership card.
SAFETY requirements: must have in order to drive
basics & dress code
General items needed to race will be seat belt, long pants, shoes/socks and shirt. Shirt cannot be a tank top and shoes cannot be open toed. Flip flops, sandals and bare feet are not permitted. No nylon or polyester pants permitted.
helmet
If your car runs faster than 8.99 in the eighth-mile, you will need a helmet however we encourage all drivers to wear a Helmet.
roll cage
Convertibles quicker than 8.25 eighth-mile and open concept (such as T-tops) quicker than 7.35 eighth-mile must meet NHRA roll-bar and roll-cage requirements.

Drivers in vehicles running quicker than 7.35 eighth-mile or slower than
5.65 eighth-mile or faster than 135 mph or slower than 150 mph are
required to wear a minimum SFI 3.2A/1 jacket along with full-length pants.
Vehicles 2008-2013 OEM
Production cars are permitted to run no
quicker than 6.40 eighth-mile and/or no faster than 135 mph.
Vehicles 2014-and Newer OEM
Production cars are permitted to run no quicker than 5.65 eighth-mile and/or faster than 150 mph.
Unaltered OEM
Antilock brakes, airbag functions, stock frame/unibody construction, including floors and firewall, as well as all other OEM safety-related systems, must be functioning as per manufacturer’s specifications.
Motorcycles or drag ATV
SFI 40.1-1 or 40.1-2 Suit or Leather Jacket or accepted Kevlar, long pants, leather gloves, boots/closed toe shoes (extending above the ankle mandatory), Helmet (no older than 2015/Full Face) are mandatory for all riders. All riders who run 7.5 1/8 mile or quicker or run 120 MPH or faster must wear a 40.1-2 Suit or Full Leathers. Two piece suits may be joined at the waist by a zipper. Your vehicle must have working front and rear brakes and a Kill Lanyard or Factory Kill Switch (must be attached to rider with lanyard). These are the basic rules. Other rules may apply based on the set up of your bike. Final Decision of Pass – No Pass is the tech Inspector.

These rules shall govern the condition of all events, and by participating in these events, all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator or official. The race director shall be empowered to permit reasonable and appropriate deviation from any of the specifications herein or impose any further restrictions that in his/her opinion does not alter the minimum acceptable requirements. NO EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FROM SUCH ALTERATION OF SPECIFICATIONS. Any interpretation or deviation of these rules is left to the discretion of the officials and Lead Foot City. Track official discretion is final.
must be a member to race
The only person allowed to operate a vehicle on the race track is the participant named on the participant entry and has a DRIVER arm band. Any person found racing without a participant entry or membership and driver armband will be asked to leave. Repeat offenders will be removed from the event and Membership Revoked with No refunds.basic code of conduct
A Lead Foot City membership is required and must be current in order to obtain an event
participant entry. You can register as a FREE "Tourist" Member or upgrade to a "Citizen" Member and receive special discounts and perks. You may be asked to provide a valid license to confirm your
membership. If you are under the age of 18 you will need to be part of a "Household Membership" and have the liability waivers signed by your parent/legal guardian. You will also need to have a valid driver’s license, unless you are an approved Junior Drag racer.
Any member who, in the sole and outright judgment of Lead Foot City:
1) Verbally or
physically threaten another member, track official or other individual.
2) Utilizes
profane or overly critical language.
3) Participates in unsportsmanlike conduct, in any case make a condition or situation that is risky, unjustifiable or mixed up will have disregarded the
guidelines of Lead Foot City and will be banned from the facility and membership revoked.
