The most legendary drag racer in the history of drag racing celebrated his 94th birthday at Lead Foot City, America's Automotive Theme Park on January 17, 2026.

A fun filled day of drag racing, show cars, concerts, meet & greets with the legend himself and a special presentation where Achilles Thomas the Mayor of Lead Foot City honored Don Garlits with the Key to the City!

Thousands were in attendance from all around the country to see Big Daddy Don Garlits and check out the newest dragstrip in the country, located right across the street from where he broke his original land speed records back in the 1950s.
